Neighborhood Improvement Zone (NIZ) Effectiveness and Long-Term Strategy

Alan Jennings praised the NIZ as an outstanding resource for Allentown, but expressed disappointment regarding the lack of waterfront development, low arena box office transactions, and suburban hesitation to visit downtown. He recommended that City Council capture a portion of increased NIZ tax revenues for affordable housing and institute term limits for ANIZDA leadership.
